|Whatever I consider to be better than the rest of my stuff.|
I deny failure; I ignite|
Hey there! I'm Gunto.
I'm a traditional artist, utilizing my good-old white paper, lead pencils and colored pencils of somewhat varied brands - the majority being Rose Art and Crayola - to bring my drawings into fruition, using GIMP for minor edits such as erasing backgrounds, darkening anything my scanner made too light, merging two drawings into one file, smudging away small stains/coloring hiccups, or any other small changes I need to make.
I generally draw anthropomorphic characters and fan art, with the two overlapping very frequently. I draw other things on rare occasion, and on even rarer occasions I write literature. If it could be considered "art," I enjoy singing my favorite songs when no one is around to listen.
Naturally, calling my works anything above "amateur" would be questionable, but I hope to improve more and more, no matter how small the step may be. I welcome and will consider any genuinely constructive advice you may have for me.
As for media I enjoy, my favorites to indulge in are music, cartoons, and video games, although I do enjoy reading and watching live-action film every now and then. While it's not to say I enjoy everything I come into contact with, I do not consider myself hard to please and I like being relatively open when trying new things. Although, perhaps it's worth mentioning that I actively dislike porn, or anything excessively suggestive.
My favorite style of music is drum and bass; my favorite genres of music - also those I listen to most frequently - are the rather broad categories of electronic, soundtrack and rock. Some of my favorite artists to listen to include Pendulum, Wolfgun, LapFox Trax (The Queenstons are my favorite alias), Petriform, and Svix. It should go without saying, of course, that I'll listen to whatever catches my fancy, regardless of genre, style or artist.
Platformers, portable console visual novels (which almost always double as puzzle games) and action-adventure games are generally my favored genres of video games. My top titles include Super Paper Mario, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, the Professor Layton series, Shu Takumi games (Ace Attorney/Ghost Trick) and the Five Nights at Freddy's series. I'm not quite as "open" about game genres I like as other things, but I'm certainly not picky, either.
And, of course, I love animation - western, eastern, and anywhere in between. Those I love the most include Fullmetal Alchemist (even more so its Brotherhood remake), Hunter x Hunter (mostly its 2011 remake), Code Geass, Steins;Gate, and Code Lyoko; just to name a few. I can't say I have a particular favorite genre of animation; for the same, I'm open to most any. However, as previously mentioned, I quite dislike anything with excessive sexual content, and I don't care for shounen ai/shoujo ai (mostly found in anime, of course).
Perhaps my most notable trait is that I am a graduate of Bleeping Computer's malware removal training program, and that I occasionally exercise my education by volunteering in their malware removal log forum. While I still have very much to learn and consider myself still a novice, this is not an accomplishment I take lightly, and I'm still overjoyed at any small help I can provide for those who need it. If you're having problems you think might be malware, please don't hesitate to talk to me about it!
Allow me to take a moment to thank each and every one of you who has given me a favorite, watch, llama, or anything else of the sort. I may not thank you all individually, but I want you to know I sincerely appreciate the support and I am very happy when I receive it.
By the same token, you are welcome to show your thanks to me supporting you by dropping me a comment, but that is certainly not required. Of course, unless you include some other message along with your thanks, I probably will not respond to your comment. So, in advance: you're welcome!
Three word summary of me: an actual scrub.
